Stay classy San Diego

We're on the road!!! We picked up the car today (apparently the car goes by the name of Musty) and the road took us to El Cajun via San Diego.

Whilst the beaches in California are relatively empty, the roads are quite busy so it's a bit scary driving 6 lanes road on the wrong side of it. John did a great job though.Tomorrow will probably be my shift behind the wheel.

Unfortunately Ron Burgundy was to busy to meet us in San Diego so we went to the beach instead and watched surfers riding the waves. John had his first encounter with Man v Food like challenge when trying to eat pulled pork sandwich and failed to do so.

We're staying in a PROPER motel tonight, with a swimming pool, balconies around the parking lot and beige/peachy decor. There's an off licence next door so bring on the party! 60% of the time, it works every time!

LA Story

We spent most of yesterday sunning it up on Long Beach, ate ice cream & rode bicycles. The place was suprisingly deserted, it was nice to have it almost to ourselves.

Rode the Metro system through all the places my rap records told me about & didn't get hustled or gangbanged once :( . And spent the evening nerding it up at El Capitan (The Muppets Theatre) & the Chinese Theatre over the road. Made some friends at some place called Scientology?

I have the same sized hands as the Shat! :D

Off to pick up the car this morning so we can hit the road & get away from all the crayzies (Parrot Hobo, we will miss you) not sure when we'll see free internets again, so until then this is JJ & Karina signing off.

Our dogs are barking

We've been all over downtown LA today. Went to El Pueblo, Chinatown & Little Tokyo. Also have been walking on 7th Street and along business & legal district. Seen the real people and the real crazies.
Putting our feet up in a hotel now before we go out tonight check out the night life in Hollywood.

The Eagle Has Landed

After a long flight we've finally made it into LAX & onto East Hollywood. Not looking forward to driving on the freeways after that taxi ride. Staying in a little hotel just under the famous Hollywood sign.

Bring on the jetlag.

Phew! Checked in just before we wrecked in. Thanks to a half mile heathrow dash & no thanks to the plonker that broke the M1 & nearly scuppered the whole trip.

We're packed and good to go. Hitting the road and heading for Heathrow at 5.00am so should be going to sleep but are watching An Idiot Abroad instead.
